Highland Gold Mining Limited ("Highland Gold") announces that it has today signed a subscription agreement with Millhouse LLC whereby Millhouse LLC will subscribe in cash for 65,050,000 new ordinary shares in Highland Gold at a price of 151 pence per new ordinary share (the "First Subscription") and a further 65,050,000 new ordinary shares at the same price, following the passing of the requisite shareholder resolutions (the "Second Subscription").

Highland Gold Mining Limited ("Highland"), the AIM quoted Russian gold producer, announces, from 24 October 2007, the appointment of Scott Perry to the Board of Directors. Scott Perry, joined Highland Gold as Chief Financial Officer in December 2006.

Following on from the announcement made on 8 August 2007 and after further final negotiations, Highland Gold Mining Limited (“Highland Gold” or the “Company”) is pleased to announce that it has now completed the sale of its 100% share in OOO Darasunsky Rudnik, owner of the Darasun, Teremky and Talatui mines in the Chita Region, Russia, for total cash proceeds of US$15mln and retention of certain mining equipment that will be used elsewhere within the Highland Gold operations.
